The Blanket

The £900 Burberry Cape

The 'blanket' cape! A year ago, more often than not, one might have considered it as a figment of one's imagination.
In contrary to that, Burberry's (now infamous) cashmere and wool cape were indeed the spotlight thief of their A/W '14 show! Undoubtedly the 'blanket' is having its moment into stardom, having being modelled by Cara Delevingne and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
I certainly have my heart at the right place for this one despite the potential for looking like you are recovering from illness or have slept on the street. What’s more? I love my bed, so going around draped in a 'blanket' seems rather fetching, doesn't it?

Hat: Forever 21
Gloves: Marks and Spencer
Clutch: Burberry
Blanket Cape: Marks and Spencer
Boots: Marks and Spencer

I would highly recommend a felt fedora hat (recent fall obsession) to elevate the entire look.

I carried my blanket cape with suede boots. You can even try reversing the cape for a different look!

You can take me for my words; the blanket cape fad is definitely worth taking a fancy for!

Let’s Go Offbeat!

I opened my eyes in the morning for a day that turned out to be one of the most special days. Not because anything eccentric occurred, but because it made me dream a little bigger, work a little harder and believe a little more. Read on as I share an insight into my startling experience!

The night before, I read a text saying, "Hope to see you tomorrow". The set of words filled my heart with joy. Being just 15 years in age, I’m usually not eligible for quite a number of things, count this competition in. But I found my way to get into this one, thanks to a couple of people!

Driving down the road to Pearl Academy, I thought to myself, what would it be like over there? Would I be able to stand out in the huge crowd? Would I be able to make the most out of this opportunity? I decided to leave the cryptogram to unravel itself.

Entering one of my favourite buildings, I had an unusual kind of rush of emotions. I had never felt so excited, nervous, confused yet comfortable before. It was an amazing feeling, walking past the familiar lobby on our way to the hall we were suppose to gather at. On reaching the venue, I was amazed to see the huge room bustling with crowd from various schools.

I held my breath as the much awaited themes were being announced. The one that really caught me was ‘Funky Street Style’. I felt this theme was an opportunity in disguise for me to play around with unusual styles.

Finally, this is what we came up with within the given time frame of 90 minutes keeping all the other limitations and obligatory requirements for judgment in mind.

Theme: Funky Street Style

'Watch' your feet, perhaps? Pun intended!

Let me use this opportunity to exhibit our achievement. Yes, we stood second among more than 50 groups. We were indeed, full of the joys of spring!

Do let me know your views on this look styled by me.

Knitted Threads

Accessible design is good design. "

Hello everybody!

How has your week been going on?
Its finally fall, and time to own up knitted clothing!
None of us can deny the fact that knitwear is an inevitable part of our wardrobes for the upcoming months, can we? Whether used to bring an extra dimension to your style or as a standalone top layer when the mercury rises, it’s a versatile wardrobe staple that can be dressed up effortlessly.

Personally,  knitwear with a hint of bold colours like burgundy, red or wine, really attract my attention.
Knitwear with shorts is the perfect answer for the confusing weather that has been continuing since a couple of weeks.
For my  last weekend, I chose to pair up shorts with a tank top and a knitwear jacket.  I teamed it up with a sling to carry my weekend essentials and comfy sneakers!
Cause well, after all, aren't simple style statements the best?
Ill be posting a lot from my knitwear wardrobe, for the next couple of months.

Do let me know about how you like to style your knits!

Hope you all have a happy weekend.

Till next time,
Aditi xoxo
